Pick “From” or “To”, then click a swatch — or type a HEX code.
The generator builds the whole string for you: enter a family name or phrase, choose one color, a gradient, or a rainbow, and the code will appear on the right. “Letters per color” controls how smooth the transition is: at 1, every letter has its own color; at 3–4, the string is shorter and easier to fit into fields with a character limit. Click a tile to set the first color; Shift-click to set the second. The string length, including codes, appears below the copy button: each code takes 8 characters.
Pick a code from the palette
Here are 138 named colors—the same palette as the “Color Palette” topic on the official forum. Click a tile to copy its code in the in-game format, curly braces included.
Add color to chat and text
Put the code right before the words you want to color. It colors everything after it until the next code changes the color. {FF0000}For sale {FFFFFF}BMW M5 makes “For sale” red and the car name white. There’s no hash inside the braces, and copying the braces from here is easier than typing them.
You don’t need to format every message this way. Color works best for text that stays up for a while, like a family name, ranks, or an ad. Bright, multicolored lines in regular chat get annoying fast.
Create a colored family name
A colored family name is set once: enter the code in the name field when you create your family.
- 1
Open /gps → Important Places → Government and go to the marker.
- 2
Inside the building, find the “Create Family” desk. You need 3,000,000 rubles in your account for the government fee.
- 3
Build the name in the generator above, copy the string, and paste it into the name field.
- 4
Confirm the creation. The Family option will appear on your tablet, and your name will be colored.
Check everything twice before you submit: after creation, you can change your family name only with BC (donate currency) in the Shop. The same goes for ranks: you can rename them under Tablet → Family → Family Settings, and they can be up to 24 characters long. If codes count toward that limit, three codes will use all 24 characters, so one code is enough for a rank: {9370DB}Rookie is 14 characters.
Profanity, insults, politics, religion, casino and bookmaker ads, real-world brands, and words like “administration” are forbidden in family names (rule 2.53). The punishment is a forced name change or a 1-day ban.
Pick colors for your family
The in-game chat has a dark background, so dark blue {00008B}, black {000000}, and maroon {800000} are almost impossible to read. Here are some combinations I’d pick for my own family:
- Gold — a gradient from
{FFD700}to{FF8C00}: looks expensive and stands out on any background. - Fire — from
{FF4500}to{FF0000}: aggressive, perfect for a family that does captures. - Ice — from
{00FFFF}to{4169E1}: calm and cool. - Neon — from
{FF1493}to{8A2BE2}: easy to spot in the family list. - Classic — a white name
{FFFFFF}and a silver rank{C0C0C0}: clean and simple.
One rule: use two or three colors in a name. A rainbow of ten shades looks like a mess from a distance, and the codes take up space in the string.
Don’t mix up the in-game and forum formats
In the game, use {RRGGBB} without a hash. On the forum, colors use the text tag, so you need the hash there. Some code tables show colors like {#8B0000}—that format won’t work in the game, so remove the hash.
You can’t color your character’s nickname: it can only contain Latin letters in the Firstname_Lastname format. For tips on choosing a nickname the admins will approve, see Black Russia nicknames. Family commands (/fammenu, /fam, /faminvite) are listed in the commands section.
