Both games are mobile role-playing games with Russian cities, cars, and factions, so it’s natural to compare them. The Black Russia figures in the table come from its official help center, forum, and developer channel. For Grand Mobile, I’ve noted where you can check the same details. Below are some questions to answer before you put your first month into a game.

Compare the games with these seven questions
Choosing between two RP games isn’t about screenshots—it’s about where you’ll still be having fun a month from now. I’d go through these questions with my phone in hand.
Check your phone’s ping during peak hours
Black Russia runs on Android 7.0 and iOS 13 or later. Check Grand Mobile’s requirements on its page in your app store. If your phone is borderline, the real question isn’t whether the game launches, but how the ping and graphics hold up at peak hours. The Black Russia help center says lag starts when ping goes above 100. Download both games and spend an evening in each on a busy server—that’s more reliable than any chart.
Friends matter more than mechanics
In an RP game, your crew matters more than the mechanics. Families, factions, and businesses all depend on people. In Black Russia, your character is tied to its server: if your friend is on RED and you’re on MOSCOW, you’re playing two different games and can’t meet up. Start where your friends already are, on the same server.
Black Russia takes RP seriously
Black Russia requires RP names in the Firstname_Lastname format. Its general server rules run to dozens of points, and breaking them can get you jailed, warned, or banned. Every warn gets you kicked out of your faction and bars you from joining any faction for 10 days. Three warns mean your account is blocked for 10 days. Some players find that frustrating; others like it. Strict rules cut down on chaos on the roads and in government factions. See how punishments work in the rules section.
Black Russia factions have ten ranks and tests
Black Russia has eight government factions, each with ten ranks, entrance and promotion tests, charters, and laws. You’ll find answers to all the tests in the answers section. If you’re more interested in service than simply driving around and earning money, compare how much depth the other game’s factions offer.
Compare donations by what you can buy
Black Russia’s donation currency is BC. You can use it to buy VIP status, cases, services like a name change, and the premium Black Pass track. The official sources don’t publish a BC exchange rate, so compare what you can buy with real money and whether you can enjoy the game without it—not just the price. See the Black Russia donations page for details. Promo codes can help you play without spending: system codes come out every few days.
Check news dates to see if a project is active
The Black Russia developer channel has been posting news since August 2020. Major updates come out once a season, and events happen once or twice a month. In October 2026, the Halloween event “The King and the Jester” launched. Recent news dates show whether a project is active, so check them for any game before you start.
Black Russia still has no PC version
Black Russia doesn’t have its own PC version. Emulators are allowed, but the developers warn that performance may suffer. Using macros through an emulator can get you banned for 15–30 days or permanently. If playing on a computer is important to you, check how Grand Mobile handles it. For Black Russia details, see the Black Russia on PC page.
Decide where to start
My take is simple: people and servers matter more than logos. If you don’t have friends in either game and want RP with careers, rules, and laws, Black Russia gives you that from day one: a driving licence, medical card, enlistment office, and HR department. If you just want to drive around and shoot without roleplaying, BR’s strict rules will get on your nerves. You’re better off trying both games for an evening.
You can start with one simple step: pick a server that isn’t empty and complete the tutorial. Find out how to get through your first few hours on the where to start as a beginner page.
