Crafting was added on July 11, 2024. You can make accessories, skins, and even cars at a workbench. You need three things: a workbench, a blueprint (the item’s recipe), and components. NPCs sell blueprints, and you can see each recipe’s ingredients in the workbench menu before you craft.
Choose a workbench
The workbench level determines which rarity of items it can make. Check the item frame color in the menu to see what level you need:
- 1 — Basic Workbench: common items, gray;
- 2 — Improved Workbench: uncommon items, green;
- 3 — Reinforced Workbench: rare items, blue;
- 4 — Engineering Workbench: epic items, purple;
- 5 — Professional Workbench: legendary items, gold.
Higher-level workbenches can make everything from lower levels, too. You can only buy the next upgrade in order—you can’t jump straight from level one to level three. You can craft one item at a time, with the rest waiting in the queue. You can only cancel items that are still queued, and their components will be returned. Each recipe has a crafting time, success chance, weight, and production cost.
Finished items stay in storage for 30 days, then disappear. Use “Claim All” to collect them right away instead of leaving them there while you’re away.
Set up a workbench in your basement
If you own a house: /home → “Edit” → “Upgrade House” → “House Upgrade” → “Automatic Doors,” then “Basement Upgrade” → “Home Workshop” and a level 1 workbench. To go downstairs, use at the house exit, then select “Go Down to the Basement.” The home workbench is available to the owner and their cohabitant, and each has their own storage. If you lose the house, materials from the queue will be returned to your inventory.
Find a workshop
A workshop is a business with shared workbenches. Each location has up to three, and the owner chooses their levels. Find them on the map under Legend → “Crafting,” or use /gps → “Search Nearby Locations” → “Find the Nearest Workshop.” Each location’s payout and price are listed in the table:

Since the September 11, 2025 update, you don’t have to wait for a free workbench: items can be added to any shared queue. Each player can use one workbench at a time. Since November 2025, successfully crafted items stay with the player even if the workshop changes owners. You can only buy a workshop at auction, starting at level 3. Buy a blueprint from Kulybych
Kulybych, the workshop manager, sells most blueprints. Stock refreshes daily and is split between workshops, so if a blueprint isn’t available today, check again tomorrow or try a workshop in a nearby city. Need one right away? Pay a fixed amount in rubles for a search. Kulybych will tell you where the blueprint is in stock and mark the location on your GPS.
Some blueprints are only available from events:
- “Crafting Festival,” February 5–16, 2026: the seasonal “Blue Steel” resource (limit of 50 per day) and the “Craft Backpack” and “Creative Panama Hat” blueprints—40 minutes and 3 kg each. You can keep crafting these items after the event if you still have the blueprints.
- New Year 2025/26: seasonal blueprints for the “Defender’s Skate” accessory and “Polar Explorer Klaus” skin.
- Halloween 2025: the “Hish-Mish” skin blueprint from the “Illusion Come to Life” mode.
- 2026 storyline: parts for completing chapters and the BMW M2 G8 craft after the October 1 finale.
Gather components
Resources found at spawn points include bauxite, iron ore, scrap metal, wood, textile fiber, reagents, radio components, animal hides, plastic bottles, and rubber scraps. There are three ways to get them.
- Jobs. According to the help page, you can get fasteners at the factory, fabric and hides from hunting, and plastic bottles at the dump and from the treasure hunter job. Basic resources and blueprints are available from the miner, factory worker, crop harvester, combine operator, treasure hunter, garbage truck driver, and hunter jobs.
- Spawn points. There are eight known locations: the factory, the port in Nizhny Novgorod, the dump, the mine, the railway in Nizhny Novgorod, the factories in Yuzhny and Busaevo, and the lighthouse. Resources spawn randomly; blueprints never spawn at these points.
- Marketplace. Since August 2024, players have been selling crafting materials to each other—more expensive, but available right away.
The port is the best place to gather fiber and reagents
Both resources are on the spawn list for the port of Nizhny Novgorod, which has 20 points in one area. The port is the most efficient place to check—you can gather several resource types in one run. Some points are hidden on barrels, container piles, and the heating pipes. According to the forum, reaching the hardest ones takes parkour and costs health, so avoid them if your HP is low.
My usual route: work as a hunter or at a factory to get basic resources, check the port on the way, and buy whatever’s missing on the marketplace. Prices vary by server, so compare a couple of listings before buying 50 at once.
Level up your crafting skill
When players ask about “crafting level,” they can mean two different things. Your crafting skill level increases with every item you make and unlocks more recipes. Workbench level is upgraded separately. The fastest way to level up your skill is to craft cheap gray items in batches: they take less time to make and have a high success chance. During the “Crafting Festival,” successful crafts gave more XP and had a higher success chance, so keep an eye out for events like that.
Don’t look for a radar at the workbench
Stationary and handheld radars are Traffic Police (ГИБДД) equipment, not crafting items. An officer gets them from the faction’s armory: there are no more than two stationary radars, and each works for 10 minutes after being set up. A handheld radar costs 100 units of material and goes into the arsenal; use /radarmap to see where to find one. Drivers can install a radar detector at a service center to counter cameras. The “Craft Festival” starts soon!
🪚 The “Craft Festival” is coming soon! Two new accessories are coming to the game: the “Craft Backpack” and the “Creative Panama Hat”! They’ll be available for a limited time during the event. To craft them at the workbench, you’ll need “Blue Steel” and blueprints. You’ll get them along with any resource you collect, both at resource pickup locations and while working. Jobs that can reward you with “Blue Steel” and blueprints: • Miner • Factory Worker • Harvest Collector • Garbage Truck Driver • Treasure Hunter • Combine Harvester Operator • Hunter “Blue Steel” is subject to a daily limit, which resets every day at 5 a.m. Moscow time. ⚙️ Crafting is getting an update soon in BLACK RUSSIA! Crafting items will be more predictable and convenient! You’ll be able to check out the changes soon. Getting instructions will be easier. Find and buy them from Kulybich in the workshop. Each workshop will have different instructions, and they’ll be updated daily. If you need a specific one, ask the NPC. They’ll help you find it and set a route to it in soft currency. Crafting will be faster, too. No more waiting for a free workbench—use any one when it’s your turn. The update will also add useful materials and new crafting items. Check the cards to see what they are!
