Levels 1–2. Starter quests from the NPC (non-player character) Uncle Slava at the train station give you money and experience. In between, work at the farm, mine, or factory: no driving licence or other requirements, and 40,000–70,000 an hour according to the forum salary table.
- 2
Levels 2–3. Get your driving licence at the Lytkarino Driving School (Автошкола): category B costs ₽2,500, and C costs ₽5,000. Category B unlocks taxi driver and car thief; category C unlocks combine harvester and garbage collector.
- 3
Level 3. Player trades and auctions unlock, so you can try flipping cheap cars. Treasure hunter and garbage collector pay 60,000–70,000 an hour.
- 4
Level 5. Emergency Services (МЧС) (category D licence; you earn twice as much with a partner), gas technician (at least 50 lawfulness), and pickup point courier (ПВЗ) (order pickup point) pay 35,000–100,000 an hour.
- 5
Level 10. Trucker: category C licence, medical card, and at least 50 lawfulness. The forum salary table lists 250,000 an hour, making it the best option before level 18.
- 6
Levels 12–15. Electrician (200,000–250,000 an hour) and cash-in-transit guard (120,000; requires a firearms licence).
- 7
Level 18. Diver: get a water transport licence for ₽20,000, then make two dives an hour for around 125,000.
- 8
Capital. With a few hundred thousand, try flipping cars at the used-car market. With 500,000–1.1 million on hand, plus extra for your bid, you can buy your first business at auction.
The ladder above isn’t a required route; it’s just the order in which the game unlocks ways to make money. Your level goes up automatically while you play: you get experience every PayDay (the end of the hour) if you’ve been active for at least 20 minutes that hour. See the level guide for how much experience you need to reach each level.
Compare jobs by hourly income
The figures below come from a forum salary table titled “approximate pay without x2 or VIP” for one server. With the October 1, 2026 update, the developers raised pay for many jobs and tied earnings to your character’s level, so your server may pay more. Where sources don’t match, I’ve included both figures.
| Job | Unlocks at level | Forum salary table | Other estimates |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trucker | 10 | 250,000 an hour | 30,000–50,000 per run lasting 12–15 minutes |
| Electrician | 12 | 200,000–250,000 an hour | — |
| Diver | 18 | 125,000 for 2 dives | Up to 300,000 an hour; around 70,000 per dive near Kreyt (Create Gaming) |
| Cash-in-transit guard | 15 | 120,000 an hour | — |
| Emergency Services | 5 | 80,000–100,000 an hour | Twice as much with a partner |
| Gas technician | 5 | 80,000 an hour | — |
| Beekeeper | 1 | 70,000 an hour | Around 300,000 net an hour with Platinum VIP—in Monya’s test |
| Crop harvester | 1 | 60,000 an hour | One million in 5 hours with max skill and Platinum VIP—in Monya’s test |
| Taxi driver | 3 | 40,000–60,000 an hour | The taxi fleet owner sets the fare |
| Auto mechanic | 4 | 40,000–300,000 an hour | Depends on player count and location |
The jobs table has all 27 jobs, their requirements, and where to sign up. Bloggers’ tests are one-off results from a single server: in a video about 35 honest ways to make a million, Monya points out that divers are limited to two dives an hour.
Before level 10, quests beat chasing a paycheck
Here’s what I’d do: complete the starter quests and work at the farm or mine until level 10, earning experience and your first money for a category C licence. Then switch straight to trucking. The official guide describes trucking as highly profitable, easy, and not requiring you to interact with other players. Diving pays more, but there’s an hour between dives—you can spend it at the market.
Double your earnings on weekends
- The x2 event runs every week from Friday at 12:00 to Monday at 12:00 Moscow time. Pay and rewards are doubled for some jobs, and you earn more experience.
- VIP increases pay for jobs and in organizations: Silver gives 120%, Gold 150%, and Platinum 200%—that’s x2. Read more about VIP tiers on the donations page.
- The x2 coupon gives you event bonuses, but it doesn’t double your salary. There’s no point saving it for work.
- Lawfulness unlocks trucking and gas technician (both require 50 points). You can raise it in-game, or buy missing points in the Shop: 5 BC (Black Coins, the donation currency) for 10 points.
Don’t expect big money from a faction
According to the forum salary table, hourly pay in a government faction ranges from ₽1,600 for a new Media (СМИ) member to ₽24,000 for an FSB rank 10 member, plus daily task bonuses (Traffic Police (ГИБДД) members get ₽75,000). That’s several times less than regular jobs pay. Join a faction for rank, roleplay, and documents like a military ID—not for the money. Gangs (ОПГ) are a different story. These criminal groups run protection rackets and fight over businesses, but they come with different rules and risks.
Put your first few hundred thousand into car flipping
Car flipping means buying a car below market price and selling it to another player for more. It doesn’t take much to get started, but new servers have fewer cars and a slower market, so it’s easier to make money on older servers. For a step-by-step guide, including popular models and scam tactics, see the car flipping guide.
Two more ways to grow your capital:
- The container battle in Arzamas happens every hour at :30 and unlocks at level 3. You can claim the container you win or sell it right away; the money goes straight into your account.
- The marketplace lets you trade skins, accessories, and crafting components. With VIP, the sales fee is 15%, 10%, or 5% for Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Black Pass items don’t always go up in value
In the comments under money-making videos, players argue about whether to stock up on cars and accessories from the Black Pass and wait for their value to rise. Some show prices increasing several times over a year and a half or two, while others point out that plenty of items didn’t rise in value—and some got cheaper. If you try it, use money you can afford to tie up.
Buy a business when you can afford the auction
Businesses are sold at auction in Yuzhny from level 3. You’ll need at least ₽500,000 on hand for a kiosk, ₽1.1 million for a snack bar or 24/7 store, plus extra for your bid. According to the in-game guide, average daily payout is 10,000–100,000 for a kiosk, 20,000–110,000 for a snack bar, and 20,000–500,000 for a 24/7 store. The exact amount depends on the location and server. The Entrepreneurship Center can take your business if you go 4 days without completing tasks. See the business table for the payout and payback time for all 127 locations.
Don’t buy virts or fall for “get rich quick” offers
“Virts” is slang for in-game rubles. People offer to sell them for real money everywhere, but the project’s rules are strict:
- 2.28 — buying or selling in-game currency for real money: a PermBan (permanent ban), account reset, and blacklist from the project. Even asking other players about it is punishable. You also can’t top up someone else’s donation account in exchange for rubles.
- 2.42 — trying to sell property or an account for real money: PermBan.
- 4.05 — transferring money or property from your second account (an “alt”): anything from a warn to PermBan. The rules give this example: you buy currency on one account, transfer it to another through the trunk, and get banned for fraud.
- 2.57 — borrowing money and not paying it back: a 30-day ban or a permanent one. Support won’t cover unpaid debts, and the only acceptable proof is a screen recording of the in-game chat.
“Black Russia copies with lots of money,” “mods,” and “private servers” aren’t game servers. You can’t transfer rubles or cars from them to your account, and APKs from third-party sites put your account and phone at risk. See the warn and ban guide for penalties and demorgan times.
Claim free money
The developers regularly release promo codes for rubles, temporary cars, VIP, and x2 coupons. There’s also a daily reward calendar and the standard Black Pass track. The Daily Case drops between ₽4,000 and ₽30,000—read more on the cases page. If you’re new, start with the beginner’s guide to learn the order of the first quests.
