Where to Start in Black Russia

Start with Uncle Slava’s tutorial at the train station: the first stage gives you a Class B driving licence for 7 days. Then earn your first cash at the mine or farm, get your full licence at the driving school, pick up a medical certificate, and start the story at level 3.

After you register, the first thing you see is a train station and an NPC (non-player character) named Uncle Slava, who offers you a tutorial. Don’t skip it: the required part gives you a Class B driving licence for 7 days and your first cash. Without the tutorial, beginners often spend the whole evening just looking for the driving school. Here’s the full path from an empty wallet to joining a faction, in the order that works best.

    Create an account and link your email: use a Latin-letter Firstname_Lastname nickname and a password with 6–16 Latin letters. Guests can’t join factions, start the story, trade, or switch servers.

    Complete Uncle Slava’s tutorial at the train station: after the first stage, you get a Class B driving licence for 7 days. The extra quests give you cash and XP.

    Earn your first cash at the mine, farm, or factory: /gps → “Beginner Jobs.” Rent a scooter at the nearest parking lot.

    Get your driving licence at the Lytkarino driving school (Автошкола): Class B costs 2,500 ₽, Class C costs 5,000 ₽. Pay any fines at an ATM before you go in, or they won’t let you enter.

    Starting at level 2, take the beginner quests: buy a skin, get a Class B licence, get your first car, deliver an order worth 5,000 ₽, and get an accessory.

    At level 3, get a medical certificate at a hospital (5,000 ₽, 10 minutes) and start the storyline with Uncle Slava.

    Join a faction: you can join the Army at level 2, or the Traffic Police (ГИБДД), Police Department (УМВД), or Prison Service (ФСИН) at level 4 with a military ID.

Since June 12, 2026, the tablet has had a “Level Progression” section showing which jobs, factions, and ways to earn money unlock at the next level. See the XP table for the amount of XP you need for each level.

Create an account and keep your password safe

Your nickname must use Latin letters and follow the Firstname_Lastname format, with no numbers or symbols. One help article says names can be 3–20 characters long; another says the first and last names can be no more than 19 characters combined. Stick to 19 characters and you’ll be fine. Find name ideas in the RP name generator. Choose your character’s gender carefully: the help guide says you can’t change it later.

The password the game asks for at login is the one you created when you registered: 6–16 Latin letters. If you logged in as a guest, you don’t have a password, and your progress only lasts until level 2.

  • Link your email, VK, or Telegram on your first day. If you don’t link an account, you can’t reset a forgotten password, and you’ll lose your account and everything on it.
  • To reset your password by email: “Log in with email” → “Forgot password?” → enter the code from the email. Check your spam folder if it doesn’t arrive.
  • Never share the code from your email. That’s how people steal accounts, and getting your items back is difficult.
  • A linked account can have up to three characters on each server. Guests can have just one character on one server.

Complete the tutorial and storyline

Since September 2025, the tutorial has had two parts. In the first, Uncle Slava gives you required tasks in order. Complete them to get a Class B driving licence for 7 days. In the second, you can take extra quests for in-game currency and XP. After the main quest, limited-time offers for a Chevrolet Niva and BMW M3 E92 become available. You can only claim them once.

Beginners often get stuck on the “buy a vehicle at a dealership” task if they already got a car from a promo code or gift. Here’s a tip from the comments: relog and the task should count. The cheapest low-class car dealership is in the village of Garel. Use to check your quests at any time.

The storyline comes out in chapters

The special storyline was added on February 26, 2026, and continued to get new chapters throughout the year. Chapter numbers aren’t always consistent in announcements, so use the dates to keep track:

  • 02.26.2026 — Part one: three quests featuring Artyom. Rewards include rubles, Black Pass points, and account XP.
  • 04.16.2026 — “Engine Roar. Part 2”: /gps → “Storyline.” Talk to Artyom at Edovo Drive, then complete three quests. The final quest rewards the second secret part.
  • 05.28.2026 — “The Thin Line of the Law”: a detective case with familiar characters.
  • 08.27.2026 — A new story quest.
  • 10.01.2026 — Finale: collect the last part and craft the BMW M2 G8.

You can only complete each quest once. Use /qstop to quit, but you’ll have to resume from your last save point, so don’t quit in the middle of a chase. Part two matters for more than its rewards: you need to complete parts one and two to enter the Storm Cup races. To enter “Autocross,” you need to complete both storylines and reach level 5 (or level 8).

If the bar won’t fill during a storyline minigame, check your phone settings: go to “Settings → Developer options” and set Window animation scale, Transition animation scale, and Animator duration scale to “Animation 1x,” not “Animation off.”

Seasonal storylines are separate from the main one. From October 22 to December 3, 2026, you can play the Halloween storyline, “King and Jester.” Start it with the Circus Manager at the dark fair.

Earn your first cash

Starting at level 1, you can take beginner jobs. The game guide honestly describes their pay as “low.” The figures below are player estimates from the forum, so your server may be different:

  • Miner — around 60,000 ₽ per hour, no requirements.
  • Factory assembler — around 40,000 ₽ per hour.
  • Farm jobs: crop picker and milker — around 60,000 ₽ per hour; beekeeper — around 70,000 ₽ per hour. Combine drivers need a Class C licence.
  • Starting at level 2, you can work as a courier for 20,000–30,000 ₽ per hour. At level 3, you can become a taxi driver (Class B licence) or treasure hunter.

I’d start with the farm: there are four jobs, so you can quickly see which one is fastest. The mine is simpler, but repetitive. Compare all jobs by level on the jobs page, and check the making money section for more advanced strategies. Promo codes give you free cash and XP when you’re starting out.

Get your documents

You need a driving licence for almost everything, and all your exams are held at the Lytkarino driving school (Автошкола): /gps → “Important Places” → “Driving School.” Here are the exam fees listed in the guide:

  • A (motorcycles) — 1,500 ₽; B (cars) — 2,500 ₽.
  • C (trucks) — 5,000 ₽; D (buses) — 3,000 ₽.
  • Watercraft — 20,000 ₽.

You can buy all the licences at once in Shop → Services for 150 BC (Black Coins, the donate currency). Find the theory answers and practice tests in the driving school guide.

You can get a medical certificate at hospitals in Arzamas, Lytkarino, and Nizhegorodsk. The checkup costs 5,000 ₽ and takes 10 minutes. Only a doctor of rank 3 or higher can sign it. If your doctor is a lower rank, find another player from the hospital. To skip the queue, pay 100 BC for a regular certificate or 300 BC for a permanent one. Choose a faction

Here are the entry requirements for government factions:

  • Army — level 2, medical certificate, Class B driving licence. The earliest faction you can join, and a path to getting a military ID.
  • Government, Hospital, Media (СМИ) — level 3, medical certificate, Class B driving licence. The Government also requires a weapons licence.
  • FSB — level 3, medical certificate, military ID, weapons licence, Class B driving licence. There’s no HR department.
  • Traffic Police (ГИБДД), Police Department (УМВД), Prison Service (ФСИН) — level 4, medical certificate, military ID, weapons licence, Class B driving licence.
  • Gangs (ОПГ) — level 3, weapons licence, medical certificate, Class B driving licence. There’s no HR department.

Before your interview, read the general rules and RP terms. A newcomer can get a warn for NonRP behavior or DM (killing without an in-game reason) faster than they’ll get their first paycheck. Find faction pay by rank and the charter in the factions section.

Fix crashes and “connection lost” errors

In practice, getting “Connection lost” during a driving school test or at a map marker is almost always the anti-cheat. It disconnects you when PacketLoss (the share of lost packets) is above 0 or your ping is above 100. The help guide recommends:

  • Restart your phone, or turn airplane mode on and off if you’re using mobile data.
  • Restart your router if you’re playing over Wi-Fi.
  • Disable your VPN. Since August 2026, this has been support’s first suggestion for connection errors.
  • Close background apps, take off your phone case, and don’t play with your phone on a pillow. If it overheats, your phone will slow itself down.

The game supports Android 7.0 and iOS 13 or newer. Stability isn’t guaranteed on older phones.

Don’t get scammed when you’re starting out. Buying accounts or “virts” for real money breaks the rules and can get you banned. “Help with leveling” from strangers is a classic way to steal your character. Everything a beginner needs is free in the game.

Questions and answers

How do you complete the Black Russia story?
Start the story with Uncle Slava at any train station. According to the launch guide, you need to be level 3 (the general beginner’s guide says level 4). Find the next chapters via /gps → “Storyline” or Tablet → News. Each quest can only be completed once. Use /qstop to quit a quest. The finale came out on October 1, 2026: collect the last part and craft the BMW M2 G8.
How do I pick up the story if I quit halfway through?
Talk to Uncle Slava or open Tablet → News. The quest will resume from your last save point. Part two, “Engine Roar,” starts with Artyom at Edovo Drive: /gps → “Storyline”.
What password does Black Russia ask for when I log in?
It’s the password you made when you registered your character: 6–16 Latin letters. If you forgot it, reset it using your linked email, VK, or Telegram account. You can’t recover your account if you haven’t linked one.
The “buy a vehicle” task won’t complete. What should I do?
Players recommend relogging if you already got your car from a promo code or daily reward. The task should count after you log back in.
Why does Black Russia crash or say “connection lost”?
It’s usually the anti-cheat: it disconnects you if you have packet loss (PacketLoss above 0) or ping over 100. Restart your phone, or turn airplane mode on and off. Restart your router and disable your VPN. The minimum requirements are Android 7.0 or iOS 13.
Can I play as a guest without registering?
As a guest, you can reach level 2. Without a linked email, you can’t join a faction or family, start the story, switch servers, trade, or take part in Black Pass or the Calendar.
