Know who can punish you for what
Laws and rules in Black Russia are different things, and that determines who can punish you:
- Criminal Code — 20 articles, with sentences from 1 to 6 years. The FSB, Police Department, and Traffic Police can put you on the wanted list with 1 to 6 stars, arrest you, and put you in the holding cell (the cell at the station). The Prison Service takes you to the penal colony.
- Administrative Code — 9 articles, with fines from 5,000 to 30,000 ₽ and licence seizure for traffic accidents. The Traffic Police and Police Department issue the fines.
- Federal Decree — 18 staff discipline clauses for government organizations. Under it, FSB officers rank 9 and above can punish employees of other organizations.
- General server rules — 89 rules that apply on top of the game: DM (damaging someone without a reason), cheats, insults, and nicknames. The administration enforces these with Mute, Jail (demorgan), Warn, and Ban.
Employees also have to follow government organization rules (on the rules page) and the department radio rules.
The difference matters in disputed situations. Escaping a chase by car is part of the game, and you can be caught for it under the Criminal Code. Leaving the game during an arrest is avoiding RP: the administration can punish you for it, up to a Warn. A Warn means you’re fired from your faction and can’t join any faction for 10 days.
Find your server’s laws
Each server has its own legislation section on the official forum, and articles and sentences may differ between servers. The Criminal Code, Administrative Code, and Federal Decree on this site follow one server’s version. It’s easy to check yours:
- In-game — /fmenu → “Documents,” if you work for a government organization;
- On the forum — choose your server → “Government Organizations” → Traffic Police, Police Department, or FSB.
Find the full server list in the Black Russia servers section.
Keep your law-abiding score above zero
Your law-abiding score is a set of points you need for high-paying jobs and licences. To check it, open the tablet → person icon → “Personal Information.” Your wanted level is shown there too.
- +1 point every PayDay (the hourly payout), if you played for at least 20 minutes that hour; VIP Platinum gives you +2;
- You can buy 10 points for 5 BC (donate currency) in the Shop → Services;
- Injuring players outside gameplay takes away points. For law enforcement, killing a player who isn’t wanted also costs points.
The in-game help says you need 70 points for a weapons licence, though some sources say 100. Carrying a weapon without a licence is punishable by 2 years under Article 9 of the Criminal Code.
Prepare for faction tests
The promotion test for the Traffic Police and Police Department has 10 questions on the Criminal Code and 6 on the Administrative Code. The answers match the articles in the Criminal Code and Administrative Code sections. Practice with the Traffic Police answers, learn how the service works and where to apply in the factions section, and find commands for arrests, wanted levels, and fines in commands.
