How to Join the Police Department in Black Russia

The Police Department is the region’s police force. You make arrests, search people and places, take part in raids, and respond to calls for backup. Compared with the Traffic Police (ГИБДД), there’s less time on the road and more work with people and on the streets.

Join the Police Department at the duty station

The requirements are the same as for the Traffic Police and Prison Service:

• Account level 4;
• a medical certificate and a category B driving licence;
• military ID—you can get one in the Army at rank 3 or buy one for 129 BC (donate currency);
• a gun licence—you can get one from the Government with 70 law-abiding points and ₽30,000.

Find the building using the map legend: “Government Factions” → the shield-and-star icon. Or open Tablet → Information → Factions → Police Department → “Mark building”. At the duty station, you’ll take an 8-question interview. One mistake means you fail, and you can try again after 5 minutes. Find the answers in the HR department. The other option is to apply to senior staff through the Police Department section of your server’s forum.

Once you join, the Police Department becomes your spawn point when you enter the game. You can find your uniform in the changing room on the first floor, behind the “Lounge” door. That’s the only place where you’re allowed to AFK (step away from your device).

Check salaries by rank

These hourly figures are from one server. The bonus for completing 5 tasks per day is around ₽70,000. Your PayDay salary (paid at the end of each hour) depends on your performance. You can improve it with the “Raid”, “Operational Assistance and Response”, and “Inspection Preparation” initiatives.

Police Department or Traffic Police?

The entry requirements are the same, but the work and salary ceiling differ. At rank 1, the Traffic Police pays ₽5,300 compared with ₽5,000; at rank 10, it pays ₽22,000 compared with ₽18,250. On the other hand, the Police Department has 4 main service vehicles compared with 3, and more active work: arrests, apartments, raids, and calls from cash collectors and civilians. If you like standing at a checkpoint with a radar, choose the Traffic Police. If you want action with people, this is the place for you. Starting pay is almost the same, so I’d choose based on the work, not the salary.

Weapons and gear are in the storage room to the left of the lounge. If it’s locked, ask the leader or deputy to open it with /lmenu. Rules for getting gear vary by server, so check the “Armory Rules” topic in the Police Department section of the forum.

Complete your tasks

Start with the documents and tests on your tablet—Police Department answers (29 questions on the charter, Criminal Code, and Administrative Code). Then you’ll unlock 9 types of tasks: official necessity, arrest, lethal force, evidence, always alert, search, “Lunch Is Everything”, patrolling, and high mileage. Don’t like a task? Replace it. The first replacement is free; each one after that costs 10 BC.

Make an arrest step by step

   Open the /base log, find the player, and press charges: assign wanted stars and a Criminal Code article.

   Mark the suspect—their icon and markers will appear above them.

   Cuff them using the radial menu or /cuff [ID].

   Make them follow you: choose “Make Follow” or use /gotome [ID]. Otherwise, they can escape while cuffed.

   Put them in a service vehicle with /putpl [ID].

   Take them out in the Police Department courtyard with /ceject [ID].

   At the jail entrance (the precinct cell), enter /arrest [ID]—the task will be completed automatically.

Search an apartment with a warrant

Get a warrant at the duty station by selecting a suspect. A Government employee of rank 7 or higher, or a bailiff, must sign it. If you use a bailiff, wait 2 minutes. Then head to the apartment, play the door-picking minigame, and search the cupboards and basements within 2 minutes. Once you leave, you can’t go back in. Take anything you seize to the duty station; it counts as evidence for the matching task.

To search a player, use the radial menu. To search a car, stand by the trunk and use /searchcar. Need backup? Press the beacon button in your car. Officers at their posts will see the call.

You can spend Police Department tokens in the faction shop. The Mercedes-Benz GLS 400 and Ford Mondeo appear in rotation when the shop refreshes. The exchange rate is 1 token = 10 BC.

Keep your job

• Searching for a player without an IC reason (an in-game reason) gets you a Warn. You must give an article: “Art. N of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation”. You can’t make up the number. See the Criminal Code for sentence lengths by article.
• Behavior that’s inappropriate for a Police Department officer (nRP) gets you a Warn.
• Article 19 of the Criminal Code (membership in gangs) can only be used during a raid.
• Dealing damage without an IC reason on your organization’s territory gets you 90 minutes in Jail.
• You can’t visit the casino, container events, or the car market in uniform, or take side jobs. Any of these gets you 30 minutes in Jail. Using a service vehicle for personal reasons also gets you 30 minutes in Jail.
• Working with criminal organizations or being wanted violates the federal decree. The FSB can issue the punishment from rank 9 onward.

Leave with a rank the FSB values

Tablet → Factions → Roster → your nickname → “Quit”. You need “Determination” from the tablet upgrades or Silver VIP or higher. Without either, the leader or deputy must dismiss you. Your rank resets. Having held a Police Department rank makes it easier to apply to the FSB: senior staff usually require a rank in the Police Department, Army, or Traffic Police.
