The IK-3 penal colony is on an island southwest of Busaevo, reached by the northern bridge. Sentences range from a few minutes to a couple of real-life hours. The command shows how much time you have left under “Until release.” Escaping is the fastest—and most expensive—way out. Here’s what to do:
- 1
Buy a screwdriver, a diver's mask, and a file from the shady dealer by the production shop — 55,000 ₽ total (or trade with the prisoners).
- 2
In the cell: approach the toilet with a screwdriver in hand and interact with the wall marked “Sewer Tunnel” — 60 seconds; use /stop to cancel; the screwdriver breaks after the second use.
- 3
Catacombs: There’s a timer. When it runs out, you’re sent back to your cell/solitary confinement, and 30 minutes are added to your sentence. A green circle on the map marks a locked door (you need a file); the red X marks the exit, which requires a diver’s mask (“Broken Grate,” the flooded tunnel).
- 4
At large: maximum wanted level—6 stars for 15 minutes. Die or leave the game and you'll end up in solitary. Fail, and you'll get an extra 30 minutes.
- 5
You can offer the guards a bribe during a search—usually 30,000–60,000 ₽.
Find out what gets you sent to prison
You end up in the penal colony after being arrested while wanted for a serious offense. The most common reasons are:
- causing serious injuries or murder;
- stealing or attempting to steal a vehicle;
- possessing or using illegal substances;
- carrying, buying or selling an unlicensed weapon;
- trespassing on private property, robbery, kidnapping or taking part in gang activity;
- disobeying a police officer, interfering with an arrest or offering a bribe.
The more serious the offense, the more wanted stars you get and the longer your sentence. The colony has a production workshop and a black-market dealer who sells escape tools. Prison Service officers—players in the faction—guard the colony.
Get through the catacombs on your first try
After 60 seconds at the wall marked “Drainage Shaft,” you’ll end up in the catacombs, and a timer will start in the bottom-left corner. There are lots of passages and grates, but only one exit. Keep these three route rules in mind:
- locked doors can only be opened with a file—you’ll hit the first one and get stuck without one;
- the exit is the flooded tunnel marked “Broken Grate” at the end of the route;
- put on your diving mask before entering the water: without it, your character will die in the tunnel and end up in solitary.
The screwdriver breaks after its second use, and /stop cancels the attempt to break through the wall if guards are nearby. So one screwdriver gives you two attempts to start an escape—no more. You can also escape as a group: all your cellmates will appear in the same tunnel, but everyone needs their own set of tools. Stick with someone who knows the route.
Wait out your wanted status once you’re free
Once you’re out, you’ll get the maximum wanted level: 6 stars for 15 minutes. If your character dies or you leave the game during that time, you’ll be sent to solitary, and the failed escape will add another 30 minutes to your sentence. On a nearly empty server, you might be able to just drive away; on a busy one, find a car right away and get well away from the bridge. After 15 minutes, your wanted status clears and you can no longer be arrested for escaping.
Weigh the risk
Guards are allowed to search prisoners. If they find a screwdriver or file, they’ll confiscate it and discipline you. Players usually offer guards a bribe of ₽30,000–₽60,000 during a search, but that’s an RP agreement, not a set rate.
There are two safe options:
- wait until your sentence ends—that’s what most players do;
- work in the production workshop and take part in events: a guard reward can cut your sentence by 10 minutes.
Here’s how I see it: a failed escape costs you 30 extra minutes and all ₽55,000 worth of tools. If you have less than half an hour left, stay put and work in the workshop. Escaping is worth it when you have at least an hour left and already know the route.
Don’t look for bugs
The general rules allow escapes only through the in-game sewer route. Videos may show ways to escape “using a bug,” but rule 2.21 says bug abuse can get you a warn, a ban for 15–30 days or a permanent ban—far worse than serving any sentence. Prison Service officers are also forbidden from releasing prisoners outside the faction’s rules; doing so can get them a warn.
