If you’ve served in the Army, you already know most of this test. The questions about checkpoints, weapons, and outsiders on the grounds are the same. Only the radio tag changes: [ФСИН]. The duty officer gives the test to you after you’ve been accepted as a private. Pass it, and you’ll be promoted to rank 2 and get access to the colony’s tasks.

Get to the test through Prison No. 3
The route into the Prison Service is the same as for any government faction, but the location is different. The HR department isn’t inside the building; it’s by the gate, where a representative stands outside Correctional Colony No. 3. There are 8 questions about the server rules. Get one wrong and you fail, then have to wait 5 minutes to try again. You’ll find the answers on the HR department page.
After you’re accepted, you’re a private. Change into your uniform in the changing room at the Service Corps. According to the charter, that’s the only place you’re allowed to go AFK (step away from your device). The duty officer is inside the entrance: they give you the test and tasks. To study the charter, open Tablet → Factions → Documents.
Documents — same as other law enforcement factions
The Prison Service requirements are the same as the Traffic Police and Police Department: level 4, a medical card, a military ID, a weapons licence, and a category B driving licence. The military ID takes the longest to get: you receive it after serving in the Army until rank 3, or you can buy one for 129 BC (donation currency).
Use the Army answers, with one change
If you’re transferring from the Army, you already know half the Prison Service test. All 14 questions are the same, except for the tag:
- The department radio tag is [ФСИН];
- Accessories: “glasses and masks,” as in the Army, not “glasses only,” as in the police;
- You must not open fire on civilians at a checkpoint while they’re still outside the grounds;
- You can ask civilians to leave the grounds, but start by asking them verbally, without weapons or aggression;
- You can’t let friends onto the grounds without permission from management.
The last three points are what set the Prison Service and Army apart from the police: they guard restricted grounds, and the test checks that you understand shooting at the gates isn’t protection—it’s a violation. The same rule works the other way for civilians: under the Criminal Code (УК), entering a restricted facility such as a military base or Prison Service property carries a 4-year sentence.

Passing the test unlocks colony tasks. The game’s help lists 10 types: extra investigation, escort, medic, stashes, “Always on Alert,” keeping order, patrol, room inspections, preparing prisoners for transport, and the cafeteria. You can swap an unsuitable task: the first swap each day is free, and each one after that costs 10 BC.
Prison Service employees have some serious powers:
- A reprimand adds 10 minutes to a prisoner’s sentence; a commendation removes 10 minutes;
- You can lock a repeat offender in solitary confinement—their sentence keeps running;
- In the infirmary, a doctor on staff can heal prisoners using /heal, for 100–5,000 ₽. There can be up to 3 doctors on shift;
- For visits, an employee issues a pass and starts the meeting with /startmeet.
The game’s help warns that abusing your authority for personal gain is a sure way to get a complaint filed against you. For the full list of commands, see the commands section, under Prison Service.
Check your server’s charter
The answers above come from the official forum thread about promotion tests given by NPCs (game characters). Each server has its own Prison Service forum section, where you’ll also find rules that aren’t covered by the test but may come up while you’re on duty. These include armory rules and other faction rules, which senior members use for oral promotion tests. If a question in the game is worded differently, look for the answer in Tablet → Factions → Documents. That’s the charter for your server.
The armory is to the left of the changing room at the Service Corps. Nearby, you’ll find the equipment marker for a mask and body armor used for escort duty. If the armory is locked, the leader or deputy can open it. Check the “Armory Rules” thread for your server’s rules on using it.
Pay goes up from rank 3
The Prison Service doesn’t pay much at first: according to one server’s table, a private earns 1,950 ₽ per hour and a lance corporal earns 2,540 ₽. But a sergeant’s pay nearly doubles to 4,500 ₽, and a senior sergeant earns 5,700 ₽. For comparison, an Army sergeant earns 3,000 ₽.
