A button can put handcuffs on your character, but it can’t explain to other players what’s happening. That’s what roleplay lines in chat are for. Type “/me took handcuffs out of their pocket,” and everyone nearby sees “Ivan_Petrov took handcuffs out of their pocket.” Your nickname is added automatically. Good roleplay is short: one action per line, followed by the in-game command.
- /meThe /me command
First-person description of a character’s action (your nickname is added automatically). Start with a lowercase letter and don’t add a period. Example: /me takes out a passport.
- /doThe /do command
Description of the surroundings, what your character feels, hears, or sees, their thoughts, and what they’re about to interact with; never use it to describe your character’s actions. Example: /do The passport is in hand.
- /todoThe /todo command
Dialogue and action together: /todo Text*action (after the asterisk, use /me).
- /tryThe /try command
Description of an action with an uncertain outcome (success/failure). Use is optional.
Use the four commands correctly
These formatting rules come from the developers’ “What Is RP?” guide:
- /me — actions only, from your character’s perspective. Start with a lowercase letter and don’t add a period. It’s often used in reports and when addressing people in organizations:
- /do — the surroundings; what your character feels, hears, or sees; their thoughts; or an object they’re about to interact with. Never use it for character actions:
- /todo — dialogue and an action together: write the line first, then an asterisk and an action in the /me format:
- /try — for an uncertain action that can succeed or fail. Use it voluntarily:
Other RP channels: /s — shout, /w — whisper, /m — use the megaphone in a government faction vehicle, /n — OOC chat for anything out of character.
| Command | What it does | Syntax | Who can |
|---|---|---|---|
| Third-person description of a situation or action | /do [описание] | everyone | |
| Speak through a megaphone (government organizations, in a vehicle). | — | government factions | |
| First-person description of a character’s actions | /me [действие] | everyone | |
| OOC chat (out-of-character chat, asking admins questions) | /n [текст] | everyone | |
| Shout (can be heard from far away) | /s [текст] | everyone | |
| Say a phrase while roleplaying an action | /todo [фраза*действие] | everyone | |
| An action with a 50/50 chance of success | /try [действие] | everyone | |
| Whisper (only nearby players can hear you) | /w [текст] | everyone |

Use these ready-made roleplay lines
Below are roleplay lines paired with in-game commands for common everyday situations. The commands are from the game’s command list; adjust the details to fit your character. Tap a line to copy it.
Show your documents
At an interview, during a Traffic Police check, or when meeting someone, roleplay first, then use the command:
- passport: then
/pass [ID]; - medical record: then
/med [ID]; - military ID: then
/showvb [ID].
Showing your passport is also an honest way to introduce yourself: after that, the other player knows your character’s name IC, so it’s not MG.
Make a call and send money
- then
/c [номер]; - then
/pay [ID] [сумма].
Get treatment and rest
- then
/healme; - — RP sleep. The forum describes it as resting overnight (10:00 PM–6:00 AM Moscow time) in a green zone, using the
/anim 30animation. See the page about green zones for details.
Roleplay government faction situations
Roleplay is required in factions, and it’s also tested during voice interviews. The format is always the same: roleplay first, then the command. The commands below are from the faction command lists.
Traffic Police: stop and check
- search the car: then
/searchcar [ID]; - confiscate a driving licence: then
/takelic [ID]; - issue a wanted status with
/su [ID] [звёзды] [причина], including a Criminal Code article as the reason: “Art. 4 of the Criminal Code.” No IC reason means Warn.
At a Traffic Police checkpoint, use the checkpoint tasks to check a vehicle registration, driving licence, and inspect a car. You can issue up to 5 fines a day. Learn about how the faction works on the Traffic Police page, and prepare for the entry test with the Traffic Police answers.
Police Department and Traffic Police: arrest
- then
/ceject [ID]; - then
/cuff [ID]; - then
/search [ID]; - then
/gotome [ID]; - then
/putpl [ID]; - at the station, use
/arrest [ID]to send the suspect to the holding cell.
If you’re being arrested, respond with roleplay. Completely ignoring another player’s roleplay when it involves your character counts as avoiding RP (2.02): Jail for 30 minutes or Warn. Try to resist with /try, not with “/me broke free and ran away.”
Hospital: admit a patient
- treat a patient in a bed with
/medhelp [ID] [цена], issue a medical record with/gmedcard [ID] [цена], or provide prescription medicine with/pill [ID] [цена].
Medical staff can’t carry weapons while in uniform, except for self-defense with video evidence. The penalty is Jail for 30 minutes (government organization rules, 5.01). Learn more about the faction on the Hospital page.
Use /try when the outcome is uncertain
If the outcome isn’t clear—breaking free from a hold, picking a lock, or knocking away a weapon—use /try and accept the result. Roleplaying a “failure” as a “success” is PG: your character does something they aren’t capable of. The guide says /try is voluntary, but in a disputed scene it settles the main question: who’s right.
Avoid these mistakes
- An action in /do. “/do Took out a gun” should be /me. Use /do only for the surroundings and your character’s state.
- Lying in /do. “/do There’s a bulletproof vest under the jacket” when there isn’t one violates rule 2.10: Jail for 30 minutes or Warn.
- OOC in roleplay. “/me went to grab a bite” describes what you’re doing, not your character. Write it in
/ninstead. Using OOC knowledge IC is MG: Mute for 30 minutes (2.18). - Fake commands in /me. “/me to pick up the wallet, type /pay 228 5000” tricks players with fake instructions. Rule 3.11: Ban for 15–30 days or PermBan.
- Ignoring someone else’s roleplay. If a roleplay line involves your character, respond to it—or it counts as avoiding RP.
- Caps. Any text in all caps, including roleplay, results in Mute for 30 minutes (3.02).
Speed up roleplay with a binder
Save long roleplay lines you use every shift in a binder: a set of prepared commands and RP lines for common actions like searches or handcuffing. Set it up with /binder and start it with /br [номер профиля]. The binder is a built-in game feature, unlike third-party macros, which are prohibited by rule 2.22: Ban for 15–30 days or PermBan.
Prepare for a voice interview
A voice interview is held when you join or rank up in a faction. You’ll be asked about RP situations, terms, rules, and the faction charter. Prepare three things: terms from the glossary, the HR department’s answers, and your faction’s charter. For a situation question, answer with roleplay lines: “First /me…, then the command…” That shows the examiner you’re ready to act out the scene. Paid services that offer to pass the interview for you are prohibited; under rule 2.32, they may get you added to the project’s blacklist. Find all game commands with search on the commands page.
